As we are evolving, so are the modes of learning and education that are changing and getting advanced.

All types of education are constantly changing. And medical education is no exception. The transition from the post-Flexnerian model, to the recent model of highlighting early clinical exposure, integration of foundational and clinical sciences, longitudinal learning experiences, promotion of self-directed learning skills, and competency-based education. And to impart such learning to medical students multiple technologies have been used. In recent years, Virtual Reality(VR) has emerged as a new method of delivering medical education and simulations.

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds. By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world.

VR provides ease of learning and hands-on training to medical students, with a 24*7 available virtual environment.
